Editorial Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This page sets out how Ibomtv decides what to cover, how it checks what it publishes, and what happens when it gets something wrong. It is the standard we hold ourselves to, and you are welcome to hold us to it.
Who writes here
Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it, linked to a page listing everything else they have written for this site. Nothing is published anonymously, under a house byline, or under an invented name. Where an article has been substantially revised by someone other than the original author, the byline says so.
How we choose what to cover
We cover film and television releases across the streaming services available in India, and the international services our readers subscribe to. A title is covered because it is new, because it is significant, or because readers are likely to be deciding whether to watch it. No platform, distributor or studio pays for coverage, and none is offered coverage in exchange for access.
How prices and availability are checked
Pricing and plan information is taken from the platform's own published pages, and the article states the date it was checked. Where a figure comes from somewhere other than the platform itself — a press release or published reporting — the article says so and names the source.
Streaming prices change without notice and regional availability varies. A price in an article is what the platform listed on the date given, not a guarantee of what you will be charged today. Always confirm on the platform's own page before subscribing.
How reviews work
A review is written by someone who has watched the whole thing. Ratings are on a five-point scale in half-point steps, and reflect one writer's judgement rather than an aggregate score. We do not review a title we have only seen part of, and we do not publish a review based on a trailer, a synopsis or someone else's review.
Linking
Where an article links to a place you can watch something, that link points to the official page on the service carrying it. We do not link to unauthorised sources. Outbound links to platforms are not paid placements and earn this site nothing.
Updates
Guides that carry prices or availability are revisited as those change. When an article is updated after publication, the update date is shown on the article. Minor fixes — a typo, a broken link — are made without a note. Anything that changes the substance of what was said is handled as a correction.
Corrections
If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it. A correction is made on the article itself, and the article states what was changed and when. We do not quietly delete an error, and we do not remove an article to avoid correcting it.
To report an error, write to contact@ibomtv.app with the article address and what you believe is wrong. We read everything sent to that address and aim to respond within five working days.
Advertising and editorial independence
This site intends to carry display advertising. Advertising has no influence on what we cover or what we say about it, and advertisers get no advance sight of, or approval over, editorial content. See our advertising disclosure for how ads are handled.
Artificial intelligence
Articles are written by people. We do not publish machine-generated articles under a human byline. Where a tool has been used to assist with research or sub-editing, the named author remains responsible for every claim in the piece.
